The flowers are borne by solitary peduncles, they are green tinged with yellow. The flowers are heart-shaped with a very small calyx composed of three leaflets and a corolla of six petals. The three outer petals are oval shaped cornet, thick, green and the interior is yellowish.
Fruits similar to a heart of beef from where the nickname Annona reticulata Creole are yellow when ripe and then become brown. The fruit a syncarp is composed of a white flesh with black seeds. The scented flesh has a pleasant and sweet taste, it allows to make excellent juices, sherbets and ice cream or consumes raw.
